Migrate from Swavalamban/NPS Lite to APY

National pension trust

NPS-Lite/Swavalamban subscribers aged between 18 and 40 years are allowed to migrate to the Atal Pension Yojana (APY) scheme. NPS-Lite subscribers aged 40+ years who cannot migrate to APY, can continue in the Swavalamban/NPS Lite scheme till they attain the age of 60 years. If they wish, they can also exit from the scheme as per the extant exit & withdrawal regulations released by PFRDA.

The process of migration to the APY scheme can be completed both online and offline.

Online

You need to ensure that the mobile number provided to the CRA is registered with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) - the Aadhaar service provider. This is necessary for OTP authentication for the APY scheme.

After e-signing the migration request and submitting the OTP, the migration process gets completed.

Your name should be the same as the Aadhaar records for the e-sign.

You need to connect with the respective APY service provider (bank, post office or Point of Presence) to process the migration request if there is a mismatch between the Aadhaar records and the migration request.
